The discourses on feminism were largely ambiguous and vacillated between the movement of history and changes in gender relations. Some aspects of continuity were represented as submission, resignation and goodness in the construction of the feminine; violence was understood as exclusively masculine; and the defense of honor was accepted to justify violence against women in the regional editions on the Doca Street case. |
