The extended Ishita distribution has been used to obtain a new family of distributions. Some members of the family have been discussed. Results and conclusions: The extended Ishita distribution is applied on some real data sets to check the goodness of fit of the distribution. It is found that the proposed distribution is more suitable in modeling the data used as compared with the competing distributions.
