Description
Summary:The high efficiency of modern chemotherapy has made it possible to achieve great success in the treatment of cancer. Cardiovascular adverse effects are a major disadvantage of anticancer therapy, often requiring low and less effective doses or even drug withdrawal. Nuclear imaging techniques are the most sensitive in early detection of left ventricular damage and dysfunction during chemotherapy. This review presents modern data on the potential of nuclear imaging of cardiotoxicity.
