Description
Summary:Non-metallic minerals of Croatia have a significant resource potential. These resources are not utilized enough, in comparison to developed world. There are 12 non-metallic minerals or rocks in Croatia with high economic potential. They are described in the paper and geographically located. Next 18 non-metallic minerals are known in the country, but they are limited by the quantity of proved reserves. Utilization of these minerals is specially interesting as most of them could be raw material for sophisticated technology. It is recommended that minerals of the group should be further geologicaly explored at pointed localities, as well as investigated on mineral dressing and technological properties. 17 non-metallic minerals are not found in Croatia due to geological structure of the country (the paper is published in Croatian).
