description At the heart of Tuscany, the antique site of Pietratonda known since the XIX. century has been the object, within the framework of a cultural project funded by the European Community, of new archaeological and architectural studies. Set up at the meeting point of rain water and thermal water, the well-preserved remains make it possible, from precise architectural sketches and, unfortunately too partial, archeological excavations, to recognize there a likely rural shrine organized round religious practices inherited from the Etruscan era.
