Summary:We discuss exotic charmonium production in γγ interactions in heavy ion collisions and present predictions for the production cross section of several of these states in ultra-peripheral collisions of proton-proton and nucleus-nucleus beams at the CERN Large Hadron Collider energies. Our results demonstrate that the experimental study of these processes is feasible and can be used to put limits on the theoretical decay widths and yield valuable information about the structure of multiquark states.
