Summary: | The aim of this study is to research the representation of university students of Biological Sciences regarding the concept of challenges in bioethics. It is an exploratory study which uses natural semantic networks to carry out the analysis. It utilizes convenience sampling and consists of 64 participants. The most significant findings indicate that the most relevant challenges fall within the social dimension where we find "Human Rights", "Human Reproduction", "Health", "Research", "Healthcare" and "Equality". Within the dimension of environmental issues we find the challenges of "Environment" and "Pollution", and within the economic dimension, the terms "Genetically Modified Food" and "Food Production" are found. The term "Human Rights” possesses the greatest semantic weight. There is a significant correlation between mentions and the m-value. There is a 31 percent overlap between the terms selected by male and female participants.
