Summary:Abstract There are several stitch techniques used for surgical wound closing. Each stitch has its own benefits and drawbacks that a surgeon must balance before use. In this paper, we highlight some of the more common techniques utilized in operative wound closure and briefly discuss benefits and caveats one must be aware of before using. The rest of our paper will focus on a new technique, the Kuwait Stitch, with instructions on how to perform the technique followed by a discussion on the benefits and indications for use of this stitch.
