description The light diffraction in magnetic emulsions with droplets of a kerosene based magnetic fluid in AMG-10 hydraulic oil under the influence of magnetic and hydrodynamic fields has been studied experimentally. Rotation of the emulsion sample in a uniform magnetic field revealed a deflection of the diffraction pattern by a certain angle. An interpretation of the effect based on the anomalous diffraction approximation is proposed. The rotation of the diffraction pattern in the field of hydrodynamic forces is interpreted based on the balance of the torques of magnetic and viscous friction forces acting on an elongated droplet of magnetic fluid.
