CCHF was first recognized in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Iran, India and confirmed in Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia (Europe), Uzbekistan, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan (Asia) and Uganda, Senegal, Kenya (Africa).
