| Summary: | The paper attempts to derive cost forecasting from an articulate method of cost analysis which is applied by some large banks. The discussion is of a mathematical nature, however, it is carried out in a literary fashion as far as the mathematical framework is not considered essential. In the second part, the whole line of reasoning is restated in mathematical terms and is continued into some aspects of cost forecasting.
