Synthesis and structure of [2-((L)-menthoxycarbonyl)ethyl]diphenyltin halides

Two [2-((L)-menthoxycarbonyl)ethyl]diphenyltin halides, (L)-MenOCOCH2CH2SnXPh2 (X=Cl, 1; I, 2), have been synthesized and characterized by means of elemental analysis, FT-IR, NMR (1H, 13C, and 119Sn) spectroscopy, and X-ray single crystal diffraction.
