| Summary: | The text deals with the changes in the world of work since the last decades of the twentieth century, the expansion of higher education in the private network of the city of Manaus and the absorption of manpower in the industrial sector of the Polo Industrial Manaus (PIM) . The essay is a bibliographical one and was produced in the light of the lectures and debates offered by the discipline Work, Education and New Technologies of the Postgraduate Program of the Federal University of Amazonas - PPGE / UFAM. It is divided into three parts: the first deals with changes in the world of work; the second makes an incursion into the historical process of development of the School and its role for the "qualification" to the work in the relations of production, reproduction and the accumulation of capital and the third weaves considerations on the Neoliberal State and its ideology of "free market". |
