Summary:Abstract Competence and compensation mediated by job satisfaction are important factors in improving the performance of civil servants so that they affect the smoothness of services in educational institutions, especially the Army Polytechnic. The purpose of this study to determine and analyze the effect are: a) competence on job satisfaction: b) compensation on job satisfaction; c) performance competence; d) compensation for performance; e) job satisfaction on performance; f) indirect competence through job satisfaction on performance; g) indirect compensation through job satisfaction on performance. This type of research is explanatory research using path analysis. The results showed that competence had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, compensation had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, competence had a positive and significant effect on performance, compensation had a positive and significant effect on performance, job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on performance. positive and significant effect on performance, competence with job satisfaction mediation has a positive effect on performance, and compensation with job satisfaction mediation has a positive effect on the performance of Army Polytechnic Civil Servants. Keywords: Competency, Compensation, Job Satisfaction and Performance Abstrak Kompetensi dan kompensasi yang dimediasi oleh kepuasan kerja merupakan faktor penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja PNS sehingga berpengaruh terhadap kelancaran pelayanan di lembaga pendidikan khususnya Politeknik Angkatan Darat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan analisis pengaruh adalah: a) kompetensi terhadap kepuasan kerja: b) kompensasi terhadap kepuasan kerja; c) kompetensi terhadap kinerja; d) kompensasi terhadap kinerja; e) kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja; f) tidak langsung kompetensi melalui kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja; g) tidak langsung kompensasi melalui kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja. Jenis penelitian ini adalah explanatory research dengan menggunakan analisis jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kompetensi berpengaruh positif serta signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, kompensasi berpengaruh positif serta signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja, kompetensi berpengaruh positif serta signifikan terhadap kinerja, kompensasi berpengaruh positif serta signifikan terhadap kinerja, kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif serta signifikan terhadap kinerja, kompetensi dengan mediasi kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja, serta kompensasi dengan mediasi kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja PNS Politeknik Angkatan Darat.
