correlation between the «trust» concept and synonymous and adjacent
terms is considered.
The consistent scientific approach to understanding the term «trust»
due to its complexity, multiplicity and integrated nature is not currently
formed, and the most developed problem of the «trust» is represented in
the social psychology. It is concluded that the psychological content of the
«trust» is the particular attitude of subjects to objects of trust, which arises as a result of the direct or indirect interaction and reflects the internal
position of subjects, which is caused by an assessment of the favorable results of this interaction. However, «trust» is a certain state of the subject of confidence, which is determined by the current mental processes, generated by the situation of trust.
It is proposed to consider «trust» and «distrust» as independent phenomena. Despite the general positive emotional background of trust and
the negative background of distrust, іt is emphasized its ambiguous influence on interpersonal relations: moderate distrust can contribute to more
effective communication, too special trust will have negative consequences.
It is noted, in relation to similar concepts, «trust» is characterized by
certain features. In our opinion, «trust» is a narrower concept than «faith»
and «certainty».
The prospects of further researches are determined by elucidation of
the basic elements and structure of trust in the interpersonal relations, investigation of its functioning mechanisms. |
