Summary: | It has been established that the exacerbation of duodenal peptic ulcer and GERD is characterized by significant reduction of resistance of mucous barrier of gastroduodenal zone as a result of the increased degradation of sialoprotein, collagenic proteins, decrease in mucous fucoproteins production, activation of lipid peroxidation and reduction of antioxidative protection of mucosa. Addition of melatonin to antisecretory therapy under the condition of combination of duodenal peptic ulcer and CERG promotes the improvement of a psychosomatic condition and increases mucous barrier protection factors of esophagogastroduodenal zone. |
