Description
Summary:Modern surveying is evolving rapidly, applying new technologies and measurement techniques. Today, the use of satellite equipment is an integral part of geodetic engineering work. Widespread use of GNSS-technology in engineering tasks in construction and land management to establish the boundaries of municipalities and other administrative-territorial entities, boundaries of land plots with fixing such boundaries by landmarks and determination of their coordinates became possible thanks to their global availability. At any time of the year, practically 24/7, under conditions of open radio horizon, it is possible to determine coordinates of any object. Satellite equipment offers not only the accuracy required, but also the ability to carry out the work in a shorter time. Today, geodetic GPS receivers can safely be considered the most efficient and advanced equipment for accompanying engineering and surveying surveys, even despite its high cost.
