Summary:The migration flows that Europe has been witnessing in recent years are, in the opinion of several analysts, a trend that will last. The way in which the European Union has tried to solve this problem within and beyond its borders has called into question the principles and values that always defended. Principles such as the defense of human dignity, solidarity, freedom, democracy and equality, which have always been present in the European process, are at stake when we analyze the response of some Member States to this unprecedented refugee crisis. So, is Europe capable of solving this situation safeguarding at the same time its stability and its founding principles?
