Summary: | New Educational Technologies open nowadays the way towards remarkable improvements for pedagogical innovations, enabling us to implement new learning strategies. In this article we propose to present the characteristics of a computer program, the Dictée Interactive (interactive dictation), as well as the needs of the audience we target. Our reflection places itself in the frame of self-apprenticeship, with an aim to promote autonomy and cursus individualization for the learner. The Dictée Interactive is a focused didactic software, a tool for the teaching and the control of certain linguistic and pragmatic competencies. The CDROM proposes a new approach to dictation using video as a playful and educational vector. In addition the program uses a hypertext structure which yields comprehensive corrections of phonetic and grammatical mistakes. Being dictation a vocal recognition exercise, the DICTEE INTERACTIVE also offers phonetic exercises.
