description New Educational Technologies open nowadays the way towards remarkable improvements for pedagogical innovations, enabling us to implement new learning strategies. In this article we propose to present the characteristics of a computer program, the Dictée Interactive (interactive dictation), as well as the needs of the audience we target. Our reflection places itself in the frame of self-apprenticeship, with an aim to promote autonomy and cursus individualization for the learner. The Dictée Interactive is a focused didactic software, a tool for the teaching and the control of certain linguistic and pragmatic competencies. The CDROM proposes a new approach to dictation using video as a playful and educational vector. In addition the program uses a hypertext structure which yields comprehensive corrections of phonetic and grammatical mistakes. Being dictation a vocal recognition exercise, the DICTEE INTERACTIVE also offers phonetic exercises.
