| Summary: | The characteristics of modern state hydrocarbons raw material resources base of Western region of Ukraine and results of exploration works and scientific research in the period from the last evaluation of undiscovered potential resources (01.01.2004) till today shown. The results of hydrocarbons expected resources evaluation on 01.01.2004 are listed and main reasons of its change on the whole of the region are analyse. The main directions of exploration works in perspective are also determined, among them are the new: Cambrian and Silurian (Shale gas) of Volyn-Podillia and Bilche-Volytsia zone, Miocene of Sambir zone, Paleogene and Cretaceous of Skyba and Krosno zones of the Carpathians, Neogene, Paleogene and Mesozoic complexes of the Transcarpathian trough. |
