Summary: | The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the training package of cool executive functions on the classroom excitement of primary school sixth grade normal students. It was a quasi -experimental study with pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of 60 sixth grade students of 2 classrooms from 2 different primary schools in Tabriz in the academic year 1397-98. They were selected using multi-stage cluster sampling method and they were randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. The experimental group was trained cool executive functions for 15 sessions. The pretest and posttest data collected through the classroom excitement questionnaire were analyzed using statistical method of analysis of covariance. The results showed that this package has been significantly effective in improving classroom excitement. It significantly increased the positive classroom excitement and significantly reduced negative classroom excitement in the experimental group, compared to the control group (p <0.001). Findings generally confirmed the effectiveness of the training package of cool executive functions on the positive and negative classroom excitement of primary school sixth grade students. Therefore, this training package is recommended for training students at this grade.
