Summary:Background Asbestos is an important chemical substance that is proven to contribute to carcinogenesis. Exposure to asbestos is mentioned for increased risk of lungcancer. Several workers are exposed to asbestos and the problem of lungcancer is a big public health concern at present. Methods The authors perform cancer risk estimation based on available epidemiology data. Results In this article, the authorsestimated an increased chance of developing cancer owing to inhalation ofasbestos from roof tiles during the construction process. Conclusion It is confirmed thatthere is a high increased chance of developing cancer due to such exposure.
