| Summary: | This study aims to: 1) describe the forms of social movements in building environmental awareness of plastic waste management at the Makassar Eco-brick Community in Makassar City, 2) Analyze the factors that influence environmental awareness of plastic waste management at the Makassar Eco-brick Community in Makassar City, 3) Describe the stages of plastic waste management at the Makassar Eco-brick Community in Makassar City. The number of informants is 10 people. The data were analyzed using qualitative description with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The data validation technique uses source triangulation. The results show that: 1) The forms of social movements in building environmental awareness of plastic waste management at the Makassar Eco-brick Community in Makassar City are: (a) expressive movement and (b) alternative movement. 2) Factors that influence environmental awareness of plastic waste management at the Makassar Eco-brick Community in Makassar City, namely: (a) From ignorance to knowledge factor, (b) build humanity factor, and (c) Lifestyle factor. 3) The stages of plastic waste management at the Makassar Eco-brick Community in Makassar City are (a) the preparation stage, (b) the socialization stage and the practice of making Eco-bricks, and (c) the final stage.
