Summary:Expanding international business activities and increasing the number of multinational companies in Indonesia indicates that the firm has been able to compete in the global market. Continues growing of multinational and domestic firms, needed an organizational structure that is strong enough to cope with changes in the global market. Weak organizational structures that can be decrease efficiency in managing the firm's financial management. This study describes the views of the management efficiency of financial performance. This study aims to determine the effect of multinational or domestic firm category on the firm performance and also the influence degree of internationalization on the firm performance. This study uses panel data to observe the 62 manufacture companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) in 2009- 2012. The analysis model in this research is linear regression . The results obtained there is a significant influence the company's status (multinational / domestic) of firm performance. And the negative effect of a significant degree of internationalization of the firm performance. For the control variables, firm size has significant effect and growth opportunity has significant effect on firm performance too.
