| description | Through O Homem Inacabado (2010) the poet Donizete Galvão develops an artistic work in which the body is one of the lines of forces. As a recurrent theme in contemporary Brazilian poetry, the body appears in Galvão as part of a key to articulate deficiency and old age, in which the metropolitan and workrelated oppressive reality reveals the inadequacy of fragmented, mutilated or reified bodies. These images are composed through hyperbolic and twisting mechanisms which approximate Donizete Galvão to the Expressionist aesthetic. In this process, Galvão sings inadequacy (and resistance) of the deficient and obsolete body in a progressively utilitarian world.
