Description
Summary:The paper argues that philosophy should be seen in the light of the Greek word – theoria. This is precisely what distinguishes it from ideology. In order to prove this assertion the paper explores the meanings of the notion theoria independently or with respect to ideology. When it comes to peculiar nature of philosophy one should consider several differences such as the spirit and object of philosophy, philosophy as way of being and philosophy as academic subject. Only as academic subject it makes sense to separate different components of philosophy, for example political philosophy.
