Here we are dealing with a dense book that has been ignored by Brazilian and French historians for many years, and which provides us, thanks to the culture-specifc item, and/or culturemes, with reflections on translation (LAPLANTINE, 1996; FERREIRA, 2013), paying attention to the transformation of the gaze into language, so that on encounutering cultures, on a two way path. We conclude the commented translation, addressing translation strategies used for the culturemes, in our translation into Portuguese (CAMARGO, 2016). |
