Description
Summary:The title of this article is evidently a paraphrase to Miguel León Portilla’s work Visión de los vencidos. This work is an anthology of texts and pictures that shows the Nashua’s perspective on the most tragic events: the destruction of their way of life by foreign men. “Se ha perdido el pueblo mexica: El llanto se extiende, las lágrimas gotean allí en Tlatelolco […]” [Cantares mexicanos] (León Portilla 2007, 167). This article conveys some conclusions drawn from the intonational musical analysis of the work of Silvestre Revueltas, who reveals through his music the spiritual world of Mexican people. His music expresses the sense of their life and the opposition that still prevails to the conquest.
