Thick and old sea ice in the Beaufort Sea during summer 2020/21 was associated with enhanced transport
Early summer sea ice volume in the Beaufort Sea over the past 2 years has been strongly influenced by the transport of old sea ice from adjacent seas, suggests a compilation of observational data and numerical modeling.
