description | The present study was envisaged for the detection of subclinical mastitis in 108
apparently healthy dairy cows of University Livestock Farm, Mannuthy and Livestock Research Station, Thiruvazhamkunnu. The quarter milk samples collected under sterile conditions were screened using California mastitis test, somatic cell counting and electrical conductivity. A high prevalence of 54 per cent was recorded in the present study.
