description | Raman Spectroscopy is an important tool for studying fluid inclusion due to its nondestructive analysis, high sensitivity and high resolution. In recent years, applications of Raman Spectroscopy in fluid inclusions have focused mainly on semi-quantitative to quantitative analyses. Based on accurate qualitative analysis, the Gauss-Lorentz Quantitative method and In-situ Cryogenic Raman Spectroscopy are used to determine the components and element contents of fluid inclusions, resolving the low sensitivity and accuracy of Raman Spectroscopy in quantitative analysis of cations in solution. Moreover, according to the linear relationship between characteristic peak and concentration and pressure, salinity and pressure of fluid inclusions can be further determined, expanding the application of Raman Spectroscopy in fluid inclusions. In this paper, the recent advance in application of Laser Raman Spectroscopy in analyzing the composition, salinity, isotopes, and pressure of fluid inclusions is reviewed. As the advancement of analytical techniques continues, the application of Laser Raman Spectroscopy in fluid inclusions will focus on complex systems and quantitative analyses. |
