| description | The finding of diabetes in association with a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (PNET) in patients is uncommon. Here, we describe a 74-year-old diabetes patient with a tumor in the pancreatic head. Calcification in the central part of the tumor and significant expansion of the pancreatic duct were also detected. In addition, the patient had a gallstone, which was surgically resected. During surgery, the pancreatic tumor was biopsied. DNA was extracted from peripheral leukocytes, and MEN1 was excluded by direct sequencing of the MEN1 gene.
