| description | The article addresses the issue of project management. However, the emphasis is put on a specific class of projects, i.e. of an innovative nature, carried out in high-tech sectors. This issue was mainly due to the current increase in the role and importance of high-tech sectors in many national economies, including Poland. In addition, high-tech companies are striving to increase their competitive potential, which helps them to develop their opportunities for creating and commercializing innovations. The objective of the article is to specify the peculiarity of innovative projects in high-tech sectors. However, the research problem is as follows: How can management of innovative projects be carried out in high-tech companies? The article presents the results of an empirical study carried out in the form of a case study analysis. For the study, the company Wytwórnia Sprzętu Komunikacyjnego "PZL-RZESZÓW" S.A. (currently Pratt & Whitney AeroPower Rzeszów S.A.) was selected. The study also used theoretical methods: literature analysis, synthesis, induction, and deduction. |
