description | Frosting occurs frequently and most of the frosting phenomenon is harmful in refrigeration and cryogenic engineering. Millimeter-scale grooved structure surface has certain frost suppression characteristics, which are expected to be applied in practical engineering. In this paper, the physical model and the mathematical model of the frosting on the surface of the grooved structure are established. The frosting process of water vapor on the surface of the grooved structure with different size characteristics is studied by numerical simulation, and the laws are summarized. The results show that the frost suppression characteristics of the grooved structure surface are mainly through the air stored in the grooved structure surface, so that the humid air is not easy to flow into the grooves, which has the effect of inhibiting surface frost. The size of grooved width, grooved spacing and grooved depth will affect the storage air volume and the total area of the cold surface, and ultimately affect frost suppression characteristics of the grooved surface. |
