description Séptima Madrugada [Seventh Sunrise], a book written by Claudia Donoso Ulloa, was the first text in Peru which took the leap from cyberspace to the traditional book. The work was printed by publication house Estruendomudo. Despite it being a blog, Ulloa Donoso has insisted that the "main character" represented cannot be identified with herself and that the two personalities have notable differences. At the same time, Ulloa Donoso has also dismissed criticism that her work is an example of "chick lit". The present study evaluates both statements from two theoretical frameworks: Vivian Gornick proposals in "Truth in personal narrative" (2008) and "Women Writers and the Restive Text" (1999) by Barbara Page.
