phenomenon that embraces not only the dimensions of world-perceiving and world-conceiving
encoded in language systems but also the dimensions of personal world, cultural mindset and
the perspective of the speaker. The analysis of the press articles in relation to these dimensions
reveals similarities and differences between the linguistic worldviews emerging from the
articles. The newspaper articles collected for the analysis deal with the same event but because
they have been created in two different cultural contexts, a different view of the world should
be expected. The comparative analysis sheds light on the nature of these differences and
reflects on their circumstances. |
