Description
Summary:The article identifies the unique position of the novel by Mariam Petrosyan in the current literary process: the novel written by an Armenian woman living in bilingual surrounding is absolutely transnational. The researcher thinks it necessary to view the novel through the cultural space of diaspora literatures and within the context of the Russian literature: to see an epic form of the novel based on the principles of a saga. Special attention in the article is given to peculiarities of the characters – orphaned teenagers, deliberately insulating themselves from the world of adults.
