description Under the term inpatient infection of the urinary tract is defined the infection developed during the hospitalization of a patient (after at least 48 hours stay in it) which had not occurred nor was incubating on entry therein. Given the increasingly growing resistant nosocomial bacteria to antibiotics, the inpatient infection of the urinary tract shows exceptional interest. The purpose of this article is to present nosocomial UTIs and to analyze ways of prevention and treatment.
