description Interprofessional ethics education means: a) teaching together students from those professions, that in future will be working together on the ward, and b) teaching them patient-centred, shared clinical decision-making. Teaching goals include practical and affective aspects, such as interprofessional competencies and communication skills, morally 'good' teamwork, professional attitudes, responsibility and conscientiousness. A case-based ethics seminar for both medical and nursing students will be introduced and described, following the outline of a case-scenario, used in the course. Results from the evaluation of the seminar support the concept of the course and the teaching methods applied. The seminars contribute to the preparedness and capabilities of future physicians and nurses, to jointly address ethical aspect and problems of patient care in a morally sound manner.
