Description
Summary:Polyethyleneimine (PEI) is a common modifier in the field of CO2 adsorption but rarely used in the immobilization of enzyme catalyzing CO2 conversion. Here, formate dehydrogenase (FDH) was immobilized on the surface of PEI modified polyethylene membrane or silica microspheres and then applied in the reaction of CO2 to formate. After optimizing the immobilization conditions, the catalytic performance of immobilized FDH was respectively 4.3 and 7.4 times of free enzyme attributed to the promotion effect of the carrier. Polydopamine/PEI-SiO2 attached FDH exhibited a higher activity and stability than biocatalytic membrane.
