Summary: | This research was conducted in Horticulture laboratories/College of Agriculture and Forestry/Mosul University during 2005 and 2006 seasons. The study included three concentrations of IAA (0, 30 and 60 mg.l-1) and kinetin (0, 2 and 4 mg.l-1) as a quick dip to "Tamopan" cv. Scions before budding on "lotus" kaki rootstocks seedlings planted in the beds on15th September. It was obvious from the results that treatments with IAA and kinetin resulted in a higher buddings success as compared with control treatment, and scions treated with IAA and kinetin at the concentration (60 and 4 mg.l-1) respectively resulted in the highest buds intakes (75%) and improved the subsequent growth of scions. Besides, IAA and Kinetin treatments improved vegetative and root growth of the scions. |
