a pressing problem of modern Russian legislation.
The lack of a unified legal mechanism for the implementation of economic activities, use and
protection of complex geological heritage sites not
only creates legal uncertainty (which is largely
a practical problem), but also has a negative
impact on the evolution of natural resource
legislation. Purpose: to analyze modern scientific
research and conceptual provisions on the concept, features, characteristics of geological objects, to formulate scientifically based conclusions and proposals for the legal regulation of relations on the management and use of geoparks. Methods: empirical, theoretical, specific scientific methods. Results: the study makes it possible to formulate proposals for the development of a normative legal act regulating relations in the field of legal protection, management and use of g eoparks.
