Description
Summary:This ethnobotanical survey aims at deciphering, diachronically and synchronically, the ways in which the species Neurolaena lobata (L.) Cass. is included in the Martinican pharmacopoeia (care practices and associated knowledge) and the popular representations associated with it. We are also interested in the complex of species that share the same vernacular name (zeb a pik) in order to contribute to a clearer understanding of these singular herbal uses. Finally, the phenomena of media visualization and popular infatuation that zeb a pik enjoyed during the recent Covid-19 pandemic period are also the focus of this study.
