description Problem. The problem of making decisions concerning the arrangement of non-signalised cross-walks is mainly connected with the inadequate justification of boundary conditions for their usage. The standards existing in our country and existing models that describe delays of pedestrians and vehi-cles are characterized by significant simplifications and errors that makes important the problem of determining the boundary conditions for the use of non-signalised crosswalks. Goal. The goal is to determine the delay time for both pedestrians and vehicles when crossing non-signalised crosswalks on the streets and roads. Methodology. Analytical research methods were used to determine the delays of traffic participants when crossing the streets and roads on the non-signalised crosswalks. They were based on the assumption that beyond the impact zone of the intersection the traffic and pedestrian flow on the streets and roads can be considered as the Poisson flow. Results. The analytical dependencies of total time expenditure by both pedestrians and vehicles for overcoming the crossing points of transport and pedestrian flows, depending on their intensity, have been obtained. These models are the basis for generating the total dependence of the total time expenditures of all traffic participants on non-signalised crosswalks. Originality. A comprehensive analytical approach to determining the delays of traffic participants when passing non-signalised crosswalks, was used in the paper for the first time and it makes possible to obtain an objective estimation of traffic participants’ time expenditures. Practical value. The dependence obtained in the research work is aimed at improving the normative documents of Ukraine regarding the use of non-signalised crosswalks on the streets and roads. This will increase the efficiency of organizing the vehicular traffic on urban streets and highways of Ukraine.
