description Imaging modalities are an important part of the diagnostic and therapeutic process in patients with congenital heart defects (CHD) - operated and non-operated. Angiography is the method of choice for complex cardiac anomalies, when the information from previous, non-invasive studies is insuffi cient and when an interventional treatment is intended. Interpreting angiographic images takes lots of practice and thorough knowledge of normal cardiac anatomy and anatomy of CHD. Obtaining accurate information is essential for the diagnosis and the therapeutic approach.
