Cognisance is taken of Calvin’s understanding of faith as perceiving, as well as Capps’ (1990) reintroduction of the idea of reframing. This is followed up by a brief look at Paul’s reframing of the concepts “foolishness” and “wisdom”, as well as an excursion into the world of art, particularly surrealism as possible homiletic colla-borator. Some implications are drawn for preaching, under the headings: the preacher, congregation, the Biblical text and God as reframer. |
