Summary:To the problems of high inheritance and high parameter uncertainty of dump truck drive axle housing in conceptual design process,the space narrowing methodology and interval propagation theorem are introduced into the conceptual design process,the axle housing main parameters scope of the design space are further narrowed,finally,the range of design solution main parameters meet the changing needs of the performance is found and the stress,deformation and life of dump truck drive axle housing concept design model are verified by finite element method. The results show that,through space narrowing theory and interval propagation theorem,the concept design of dump truck drive axle housing change interval of main parameters is significantly reduced,the method can eliminate the uncertain information of initial design space,and the rationality of the optimization result is verified by finite element method.
