Summary:Learning “the big ideas of all the big disciplines,” as famed investor Charlie Munger suggests, is not really all that hard. Indeed, he claims it is both fun and profitable. He recommends that we build “a latticework of mental modules.” Science offers a sixth sense—a way of seeing beyond the walls of Plato’s cave into the realm of what is real. It isn’t rocket science to sort-of-know how things actually work, how the pieces form an entire puzzle. Of course, god and the devil are both in the details, but it sure helps to have the picture on the puzzle box when trying to fit the pieces together.
