description This paper presents a modeling method forswitched mode power converters useful in the learningprocess at the laboratory courses. This work emphasizesthe application of this modeling method to the switchedmode Fly-back converters. The model of the discussedconverter takes into considerations almost all parasiticelements of the component parts of the Fly-back source. The model is implemented by the help of the MATLABprogramming environment due to its useful computingfunctions. The model is suitable to simulate the twooperating mode of the switched mode DC-DC converter:continuous conduction mode CCM and discontinuousconduction mode DCM. The model and itsimplementation assure a good support between thetheoretical analysis of the electronic circuits and practice.
